Earth Friendly Nunnery being built at Deer Park Monastery

In the spirit of lightening our footprint on this precious planet, the nuns of Clarity Hamlet decided several years ago that the nunnery would be Earth Friendly and conserve energy and water. Much of the building material is agricultural waste products. You might be guessing that we are building a nunnery and new hut for our Teacher in straw bale. You are correct!

In his sharing, Drew Hubbell, our architect offers more concrete insights into this Earth Friendly project:
